Havre Familial is a 4 stars holiday centre, offering outdoor activities ideal for families all year round. We visited the centre during winter time enjoying ice skating on lake Clair, tubing (two slopes) and winter hiking. The resort is also offering cross country skiing, snowshoeing and ice climbing. During the summer, there are plenty of water sports activities.

There are two short tubing areas, the first one, just behind the red boat. To reach it, you will need to climb a few steps. The second one is a few meters away and much steeper. Both tubing options are super fun and you literally slide into the frozen lake.
Chemin de la sagesse: This hike is 1.3km circling the lake. The hike is simple, relatively flat. The trail was groomed during our visit and it was easy to walk. Why do we LOVE this trail? There are lots of wisdom signs along the way and it is truly inspiring. The kids were encouraged to walk and search for the next sign. The round hike is short. During winter time, short hikes in the forest are ideal to enjoy nature in a moderate and safe way without being too much cold. Once we completed the walk, we warmed up in the chalet, number 8 on the map (which offers toilets and indoor resting area).
How to reach this trail? We started the trail near the “glissade d’eau” on the map – (first tubing area). You will see a blue sign as shown below. Along the trail, there are blue marks on the trees to indicate the direction.
Havre Familial also offers ice climbing, this is how it looks like 🙂
