La Courgerie Pumpkin picking

Halloween is just around the corner and autumn is definitely here. Head for this great place for pumpkin picking. Take a wheelbarrow & a pruner and start loading these beautiful pumpkins, choose from 300 varieties of squashes!! Play in the garden and learn about the pumpkin culture in the interpretation area.

Opening time: September – November: Thursday to Monday, 10am to 5pm, November – December: Saturday and Sunday, 10am to 5pm.

No entry fee, pay by weight. Tractor ride is $2.5 per person

A small boutique with local products where you can also buy hot drinks.

Picnic area: Yes

At the entrance near the parking, head for the Accueil on the left side to learn about the history of the family.

IMG_6273 2IMG_6342 2Take a wheelbarrow & a pruner and head to the fields. There is an optional short tractor ride which goes back and forth the same way with additional fee. We did it and did not like it. I do not think it is worth it.
