Mont Saint Hilaire Orchard Petit et Fils apple picking

Nearby Montreal, Mont Saint-Hilaire (elevation of 414 meters) is known for its apple orchards thanks to the soil which is ideal for the growth of apple trees. The orchard, located on the southern slopes of the mountain, offers a large playground, a mini-farm, a restaurant and a shop for homemade ciders and other local produce. In addition to a variety of 20 types of apples for self-picking, there are many other activities like a giant maze, a tractor ride (during the weekend only) and a treasure hunt.

Drive: about 40 minutes east of Montreal

Parking: Free, a large parking lot

Prices: Activities are free, pay only for your bags of apples (see image below with pricing). According to their website, 1 bag yields about 18-20 pounds of apples.

Apple Picking schedule: August 17th and November 5th (2018) every day between 9-18

Store & Cidrerie are open all week 9-19

The pancake restaurant is open only on Saturdays & Sundays 9-15

Picnic tables: Yes, many!

The orchard is worth the visit, the kids just love the playground, the farm and the free space to run around or just play with a ball. I adore the open view of Mont-Saint-Hilaire hills. This time we did not do the maze nor the treasure hunt so unfortunately, I cannot review these activities. Some photos from our nice day at the orchard:
