A great orchard for apple picking is Verger Lacroix. The orchard is known for its apple cider (fire ciders, ice ciders and sparkling cider), which is sold at the large and nice boutique shop at the orchard with other local produce. The orchard is offering about 11 apple types for self-picking, two big playgrounds, hay to jump on, a tractor ride and a mini farm.
Address: 649 Chemin Principal, Saint-Joseph-du-Lac, J0N 1M0, QC. You cannot miss the huge sign on the road to reach this place.
Drive: about 40 minutes west from downtown Montreal.
The orchard and boutique are open 7 days a week, from 9am to 17pm. Kids activities are from end of August to end of October.
Tariff: Large bag of about 9kg is $20, a small bag of 4.5kg for $10.
