Champs de Rêves Dream gardens and a flea market

So close to Montreal, you can enjoy a full family day outdoors. This dream garden is offering a maze, lavender fields and beautiful monumental sculptures with living plants. We spent about two hours in the garden and then visited the nearby Hudson village with its charming flea market – Finnegan’s Market (open on the weekends).

The parking entry is located at the back of the landscaping nursery. Don’t miss the super cool reversed tree at the entrance. The booth to pay the entry fee is located on the right and on the left, the entry to the garden and also the maze. We decided to leave the maze for the end.

The garden is not huge and it is easy to walk on gravel. Halfway inside the garden, you will find the lavender field.

The kids were happy to run around and to look for the next monumental sculpture.

The maze is simple (compared to the one at Verger Labonté for example) but fun for young kids. It has a raised viewpoint at the centre of the maze and an ’emergency exit’ on both sides.

We continued to Hudson village nearby, and I completely fell in love with it. Gorgeous houses along the Lake of Two Mountains (part of the river delta widening of Ottawa river).

Finnegan’s Market is offering stalls and a big barn with antique, jewellery, toys, vegetables and few grill food stalls.

We did not want to leave Hudson and visited the village centre for lunch and ice cream. A full day of attractions, with a feel of being in the countryside!
